Cut down on our consumption

Centralised energy and food providers depend on massive amounts of fossil fuels to produce and distribute their services. Intensive farming has depleted our soil of nutrients and now most farmers have to rely on chemical pesticides and fertilisers to make their businesses worthwhile. Our throw-away culture is born of a need for exponential growth within our economy, even if it has disastrous effects on our world and its people. The nature of the current banking system forces us to consume a lot more than we actually need, as people have to ‘make a living’.

There are certain measures that we can take immediately that will greatly enhance our quality of lives and the health of our environment:

  • Invest in renewable energy on a local level and create better electrical storage capabilities

  • Pool our resources, buy in bulk and start ‘designing things to last’ once more

  • Cook, eat and even live communally to share energy costs and make more efficient use of our available energy

  • Share in the abundance we create by working co-operatively and having more time to help one another

Due to the imminent economic shortfall in using co-operative measures to cut down on our consumption we will have to…

Reform the banking system :)
